A letter from our CEO and Co-Founder Cristian Noguera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I look back at our humble beginnings, five years ago, I realize how far we\u2019ve come! We\u2019ve helped thousands of online sellers get VAT compliant<\/strong>, by automating their VAT duties and leaving them more time for their business. We have an experienced, diverse and multicultural team of 60+ people<\/strong>, working remotely from all over the world, who act like one when it comes to serving our clients. We\u2019ve launched the only free VAT compliance software for ecommerce businesses<\/strong>. And there\u2019s more to come!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My belief is that sustainable profit always comes after delivering value to others. What this means is that we do earn our right to exist if our work is beneficial to society<\/strong>, not if society is beneficial for us. In tough times is when this becomes really true AND what will be remembered afterwards. How we were acting when times were tough.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 has been probably one of the most difficult times we ever had, but somehow we made it through! We were there one for each other.<\/strong> Our already fully remote team has quickly adapted to the new situation and we haven\u2019t had a day without providing our services to our clients, to the highest possible standards! The COVID-19 pandemic brough constant changes from the authorities in terms or taxes and sometimes huge delays in terms of responses.<\/strong> We did our best to keep our clients informed and mitigate any possible risks for their businesses. And they thanked us by being our client, by referring us to other online sellers, by offering us their precious feedback!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the year when one of our biggest dreams for hellotax came true: we launched our freemium<\/strong><\/a>, the only free VAT software for online sellers! We also grew our team<\/strong><\/a> with 13 new talented experts (lucky number \ud83c\udf40), so we can add even more value to our services! We started our partnership program<\/strong><\/a>, encouraging other related businesses to join us in the mission of making our services available to as many people as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, 2021 comes with even more ambitious plans. As we noticed a big trend for online sellers to diversify their sales channels, we are preparing a series of <\/strong>integrations<\/strong><\/a> with all the major online marketplaces and ecommerce platforms<\/strong>, to ensure a seamless experience for our clients and support their further growth!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
