Which Amazon programme are you on?

The programme decides where Amazon stores your goods, and storage decides where you must be VAT registered and file. Not sales thresholds, not OSS: a warehouse.

ProgrammeWhere Amazon stores your stockWhat it means for VAT
EFN
European Fulfilment Network
One country (usually Germany)VAT in your home country. Cross-border B2C sales above 10,000 € go through OSS.
CEE
Central Europe Programme
Germany + Poland + CzechiaVAT registration and filings in Poland and Czechia, even if you sell nothing there. Stock transfers need proforma invoices and Intrastat.
Pan-EU
Pan-European FBA
Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Czechia (+ Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium if enabled)VAT in every enabled storage country: typically 5 to 7 registrations and monthly or quarterly filings, plus OSS for the rest of the EU.

Amazon checks your VAT numbers and can block storage, or the whole programme, when one is missing. Poland also deregisters inactive VAT numbers automatically.

What hellotax does for Pan-EU and CEE sellers

Every storage country, one team

Our own tax advisors file your VAT returns in Poland, Czechia, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and the rest of your storage countries. No subcontractors, one account manager.

Connected to Seller Central

We read your sales, warehouse locations and stock movements through the Amazon API. VAT reporting follows your logistics, not a spreadsheet.

Proforma invoices & Intrastat included

Every transfer between Amazon warehouses is an intra-community supply that must be documented. We generate the proforma invoices and the Intrastat declarations.

Tax Letter Inbox with translation

Polish and Czech tax offices write in Polish and Czech only. Letters land in your inbox translated, with the deadline and what we are doing about it.

Takeover from your current provider

Switching from Taxdoo, Taxually, AVASK or a local accountant: fixed go-live date, backdated filings where needed, nothing falls between two providers.

Deregistration when you stop storing

Turned off a Pan-EU country? We deregister you there, so you do not keep paying for a VAT number you no longer need.

Pricing that matches the programme

Fixed monthly prices per country. Registration or takeover is included in yearly plans. No per-transaction fees.

Questions Pan-EU sellers ask us

I sell almost nothing in Poland. Do I still need a Polish VAT number?

Yes. Storing goods in a country creates the obligation, not selling there. If Amazon holds your stock in a Polish warehouse, you must be registered and file in Poland, even with zero Polish sales.

Can OSS replace the local registrations?

No. OSS covers B2C distance sales to countries where you do not store. Local filings remain mandatory in every storage country; OSS comes on top of them.

How long does a Polish or Czech registration take?

Typically four to eight weeks in Poland and about four weeks in Czechia once the documents are complete. If you already have the numbers, a takeover from your current provider is faster.

What happens to my old filings when I switch provider?

We agree a go-live date with you and your current provider. Periods before it stay with them unless you ask us to backdate; nothing is filed twice and nothing is missed.

Do you handle the stock-transfer paperwork?

Yes. Each movement between Amazon warehouses in different countries needs a proforma invoice and, above the threshold, an Intrastat declaration. Both are part of the service.
