We do our best to optimize our listings, get 5 star reviews, have a high keyword ranking and response to our clients in time.
These are important and necessary steps to obtain sales on Amazon, but this way we all depend solely on Amazon. What happens if Amazon decides one day to restrict our category? Or doesn’t allow selling our products anymore for various reasons?
There are simply too many risk factors which could go wrong any time. This is why it is important for every Amazon seller to think outside the box before it is too late. Many big business owners were asked what they would keep if they knew that they would lose it all and they could keep one thing from their business to start from scratch? Many choose their email list.
Since Amazon encrypted its customer’s email addresses, you have to find another way to obtain them. The best solution is an insert with various tactics to obtain your customers email address.
A few examples of these tactics are:
- Set up a (email) sign up page on your brand website and let them know on the insert that an activation of warranty is necessary for it to be valid.
- Set up a promotion for the same or another product and send the customers to your site to claim this promotion (they have to enter their email address to claim it).
- Brand a cheap product and let your customers know that they can get this product for free if they sign up on your website.
Product Package Inserts – Cards
Besides the email capturing options mentioned above, there are many other option as well. Choose which one fits you and your brand best. You may also use more than one option on the same insert if you want to. What works for one customer might not work for another and vice versa.
After you have decided which option you use, just ask your designer to create a product insert and ask your supplier to print it and place it in your product package – first of probably more product package inserts is done.
