Users in the field of e-commerce can be satisfied in different ways. Favourable shipping costs, good prices and fast delivery play a particularly important role. Amazon tries to win on all three fronts. With Amazon’s warehouses, they can especially speed up shipping and guarantee users that Amazon Prime will deliver directly the day after the order is placed. In the Czech Republic there are various warehouses so that customers can receive their goods quickly and return them just as quickly.
Amazon ensures fast shipping and return shipping, which allows for a quick repayment of the money, with its warehouses. In this way, they increase customer satisfaction and make it harder for e-commerce platforms to compete.

Amazon Warehouse as Center of Fulfillment
The Amazon warehouses are actually very similarly structured throughout Europe and serve the same purpose. Above all, the following five areas of activity are covered by the warehouses:
- Unpacking and checking incoming goods
- Storage of goods
- Recording the location in the system
- Putting together shipments
- Shipping
To ensure that work in the warehouses is completed as quickly and efficiently as possible, Amazon uses the same processes everywhere: As soon as Amazon receives an order, the platform passes the information on to the responsible warehouse. There, employees retrieve the relevant products from the shelves, pack and ship them. Meanwhile, the software tracks all processes and passes them on to Amazon and the customer, so that the latter always knows when the goods will reach his destination – and if he is not satisfied with the products, he simply sends them back to Amazon.
In addition to logistics, accounting and payment processing also play an important role in Amazon fulfillment. Fulfillment by Amazon is an Amazon service and helps merchants to cope with these three tasks.
