In an effort to compete in the lucrative livestream commerce market, Shopify recently launched a YouTube Shopping integration for merchants.
Shopify’s merchants can now sell their products on Youtube in three ways – through livestreams, videos, and storefronts. During a livestream on YouTube, Shopify sellers can tag and pin products at key points. A new tab on a seller’s channel shows a range of products, and viewers can choose items from the shelf. The merchants can also track the performance of those videos directly through Shopify. This was made possible by introducing the multichannel sales.
